#DecisionJa2016: Jubilant PNP supporters turn out for Clarke in St Catherine West Central
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A huge crowd of jubilant People’s National Party (PNP) supporters have turned out for the nomination of Clinton Clarke.
They are currently gathered at an open area where cooking is taking place and lively music is being played. Supporters are dancing and playing the customary vuvuzella.
They are expected to leave shortly and march down to the electoral office in the area for the nomination to take place.
Clarke has expressed confidence that he can win the seat on February 25.
He said that though he lost the last election his support is still strong in the area because he did not abandon the people after his defeat.
He also said he has a lot of supporters among the Jamaica Labour Party. Dr Christopher Tufton will represent the JLP. He is expected to be at the office by 11:30 am.
