#DecisionJa2016: Holness says he is more reflective of average Jamaican than PM
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Andrew Holness today declined an invitation from the Press to discuss the health and age of Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.
However, the Opposition Leader used the opportunity at his nomination, to point out that while Simpson Miller is 70 years old, he is only 42, which is closer to the average age of Jamaicans.
“I think I am more reflective of the country than the prime minister, and I think that the young people should rise up in this election and register that they want someone who can direct a country that is far more aligned to the direction that they want to go,” he said.
