Wearing of masks at political meetings concern police
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says it is concerned about cases of individuals concealing their identities by wearing masks on motorcades and at political and public meetings.
The police say that while there is no law against the practice, it arouses suspicion as that is the modus operandi of criminals or people intending to carry out criminal activities.
Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams is now seeking audience with the Political Ombudsman to have the concern included in the political code of conduct to be signed by the political parties this week.
