I have not left the PNP — Damion Crawford
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Outgoing Member of Parliament for St Andrew East Rural, Damion Crawford, has rubbished media reports that he has resigned from the governing People’s National Party (PNP).
The Jamaica Gleaner reported that Crawford, who lost his bid for re-election to businessman Peter Blake in a selection exercise last October, tendered his resignation.
“That is not true; I didn’t resign,” Crawford told OBSERVER ONLINE.
Crawford also responded to a tweet from the Gleaner denying the report.
He said: “@jamaicagleaner this is not so”.
The nationally popular MP told OBSERVER ONLINE that he will be in St Thomas Western later today lending support to Marsha Francis, PNP candidate for that constituency.
