Car and JUTC bus collide, 4 people taken to hospital
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Four people were rushed to hospital Monday after a Toyota Corolla motor vehicle reportedly slammed into the back of a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus on Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in Kingston.
Reports are that the crash took place at approximately 11:30 am.
The driver of the JUTC bus told OBSERVER ONLINE that he was travelling on the busy thoroughfare and on nearing the vicinity of the Mineral Bath, he slowed down to allow a man who appeared to be of unsound mind to cross the roadway.
“The bus slow down and little after that me hear the screeching sound of the vehicle behind. A few minutes later me see the car crash into the back of the bus,” said a man who claimed he was an eyewitness.
The condition of those injured is not known at this time.
