The music video for Selena Gomez’s latest single

Hands To Myself is finally on Vevo and YouTube after being exclusively available for download and viewing on Apple Music for quite some time.

The video has caused a lot of buzz for a few different reasons. Besides the fact that Selena sports bangs (and a flashy diamond ring) in the video, she also spends majority of the video lying around in lingerie and even gets arrested.

In the Inception-esque music video Selena plays an obsessed stalker/fan who breaks into an actor’s house and fantasises about being with him romantically, til she is eventually discovered by the star and apprehended by police officers.

As the video ends Selena and the male star are cuddled on a couch watching her get arrested and lead away.

Selena has since said of the music video that the director and co-writer of the treatment (Alex Kashishian) is a close family friend and that her aim was to show different sides of love or what people think love is like.

The mystery was deliberate and the ex-Disney starlet describes it as being “a false reality on both sides”.

We were certainly captivated by the mystery.
