Ban pagan Christmas celebrations
The thought of banning Christmas is not going to go down very well with traditionalists. I feel I am making their hackles rise.
I was among the incensed when Christmas was first replaced with “Xmas”. How could they X Christ out of Christmas? Those heathens! Well, surprise, surprise, many years later, with the increase in knowledge predicted in the book of Daniel and facilitated by the Internet, I have discovered that Christmas is, in fact, a Christianised pagan celebration. Anyone who is in doubt can do their own research and will see that Christmas has been influenced by the pagan festival known as Saturnalia.
If Christmas is honouring the birth of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamaschiach) then why does it bring with it the following problems?
1. An increase in crime, which necessitates more policing.
2. An increase in spending which people cannot afford, and which leaves them to start a new year in much debt.
3. An increase in motor vehicle crashes because of drunk drivers.
4. An increase in suicides.
5. An increase in stress levels because of the hype generated during this season.
6 . An increase in electricity usage, which costs the country more.
No doubt there are other negatives associated with this time of year. We hear of family squabbles, people not receiving the type of present they had expected, or even heartbreak when the cheapskate suitor ditches his beloved for the season, etc.
The first century Jewish historian Josephus noted that Jewish families did not celebrate birthdays. Yeshua did not ask us to remember him on his birthday, but in his death and resurrection, through the bread and wine. This was reiterated by the apostle Paul to the Corinthians.
Many Christmas traditions are rooted in pagan customs from various cultures, such as the yule log, the mistletoe, the giving of gifts, the Christmas tree, the Santa Claus (Satan’s Claws) who knows when you are sleeping and awake, good and bad, etc. The only one who knows this is our Heavenly Father (see Psalm 139). What a counterfeit! And the whole world has swallowed it.
Christmas is not mentioned in the Scriptures and the Church is guilty of promulgating this lie. It is time to seek truth and throw out tradition.
Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and other celebrations have usurped the feast days and festivals of YHVH as set out in Leviticus 23. Unfortunately “the Church” has embraced tradition instead of the appointments of YHVH and many, many people have been led astray by the very ones they call pastors, teachers, priests, etc, having been taught the traditions of men rather than the commandments of YHVH.
The children of Israel were warned not to follow the ways of the heathen nations (Deuteronomy 12: 28-32; Jeremiah 10:1-5). We see that they disobeyed many times and were severely punished because their leaders (kings and priests) led them into idolatry and the worship of the gods of the surrounding nations.
Let us therefore learn from these mistakes which were recorded for our benefit, do what the instruction manual (Bible) says and forget the errors which we have been taught (Jeremiah 16: 19-21).
