MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Hillstars FC maintained their 100 per cent start to the Manchester FA/Magnum/Captain’s Bakery Major League season after scoring four goals for a third consecutive game at the weekend.
The title holders eased past Greenvale United 4-1 at the Kirkvine Sports Club to follow previous victories against Georges Valley (4-0) and Comfort FC (4-1).
Shaquille Wellington was the star of the show in this latest triumph, scoring a hat-trick in the eighth, 29th and 90th minutes, while Jermaine Green netted the other goal in the 54th.
The victory means Hillstars increased their two-point lead at the top of Zone One, with former champions Mile Gully FC staying within touching distance on seven points.

Georges Valley, who ended goalless with Comfort, occupy third spot on four points.
Meanwhile, Ricam Academy continue to set the pace in Zone Two ahead of Alligator Pond, albeit on goal difference. Both both sides, who were drew 0-0 in the previous round, are tied on seven points.
In the latest round of matches, Ricam dismissed Downs FC 4-1; Maxwell Robinson leading the way with a three-timer, while Alligator Pond recorded a similar margin of victory over Land Settlement.
Randell White, with a double in the 38th and 82nd, Dane Seaton and Kamarlo Dixon scored for the south Manchester-based Alligator Pond, while Demar Senior scored Settlement’s consolation.
Porus are next on three points, but could leapfrog both front runners were they to win their two outstanding games.
