H’View clip W’House to inch up
Harbour View FC defeated Waterhouse 1-0 away at Drewsland on Sunday to move one place up to seventh on the Red Stripe Premier League standing with 21 points.
Rosario Harriott’s 49th-minute goal helped Harbour View tally five wins from 15 games for the season, while the defeat plunged Waterhouse to the bottom of the 12-team table on 13 points from 15 games.
Waterhouse played much better in the first half and have only themselves to blame for some poor finishing from their forwards.
However, Harbour View, who were coming off of a defeat from their last game, returned for the second half more focused and took the lead four minutes after the restart.
Waterhouse did get the ball into the goal, but the effort was disallowed as the referee had already called back play. Waterhouse had a golden opportunity to leave the field level, but 73rd-minute substitute Marlon Laing missed from four yards late in the game.
