Ramon Pitter imparts lessons to UWI YIC
“What is your risk tolerance? What are you willing to lose?” questioned Mr. Ramon Pitter, Vice President of Investment Banking and Group Mergers and Acquisitions at the NCB Capital Markets Limited.
Recently, Mr. Pitter inspired members of The Young Investors’ Club of the University of the West Indies Mona Campus (YIC). His presentation happened in GLT3, at the Mona School of Business and Management (North).
It was an afternoon filled with meaningful conversation. Several students thoroughly enjoyed questioning him. He left the aspiring entrepreneurs with a feeling of hope in their life goals. He also shared industry-grade advice, mixed with personal experience.
Mr. Pitter is an avid supporter of reading. In order to set yourself up for success, you need to be sharp and knowledgeable. He shared, “You’ll never get better at investing without reading. The reality is that you just have to consume a lot of information.”
A student in Management Studies, Danielle Thompson, savoured what Mr. Pitter had to offer. Afterwards, Thompson decided to share a few sentiments with
teenBOSS. She said, “I enjoyed the very interactive session with Mr. Ramon Pitter. It was during this meeting, when I truly began to embrace my desire to operate my own business. His words of wisdom, openness and transparency truly made a difference in my life.”
