Cunningham headlines Comedytainment
VETERAN actress and comedian Dorothy Cunningham, best known as Miss Zella in the long-running television series Lime Tree Lane, is headliner for the latest Comedytainment show.
It takes place this evening at Gee Wee Parking Lot, Caledonia Avenue, in Cross Roads. Showtime is 8:00.
Joining Cunningham will be comedians Pretty Bwoy Floyd, Lemon, and Leighton Smith.
Promoter Nicole Brown spoke about Cunningham’s appearance on the pre-Heroes Day edition.
“Dorothy Cunningham is celebrating 40 years in arts and entertainment, and patrons will be in for a treat as she will show why she was one of the first women in Jamaica to start a comedy club many years ago,” Brown said.
Comedytainment was conceptualised in 2012 to expose Jamaican comedians. It also showcases dancers, magicians, musicians, steel bands, and artistes.
The previous Comedytainment was held in May.
