Convicted murderer heads back to prison for ganja
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Life is seemingly not easy, especially for ex-cons.

Bentley was recently busted at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, attempting to board a flight to Barbados with just over four pounds of ganja.
She appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where she pleaded guilty to charges of possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps to export ganja.
She told Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey that she’s been unable to get a job since being released from prison.
“I was charged for murder, since mi come a road mi cyaa get no work,” Bentley said.
“How much time you spent?” Pusey asked.
“Ten years,” Bentley replied.
“So you just break the law again?” Pusey asked.
“When mi charged fi murder it was not my fault,” Bentley said.
“This time you make it deliberate to break the law,” Pusey said.
Bentley was subsequently fined a total of $117,000 and sentenced to 12 month’s imprisonment.
Bentley was ordered to give her fingerprint to the police.
