Business Access TV and Young Entrepreneurs sign 3-year MoU
BUSINESS Access TV (BATV) and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica (YEA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide advertising support and exposure to young entrepreneurs who are members of the Association.
The signing took place at the headquarters of the YEA, the PCJ Building in Kingston on Tuesday, October 6.
“We are ecstatic to have formed this relationship with the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica and Business Access TV, especially since it falls right in line with the mantra of the channel in terms of entrepreneurship and featuring young SMEs, bringing their stories and their products and services to the forefront of the Jamaican public. We are truly elated to be signing this three year MoU with the YEA,” Managing Director of BATV, Garth Walker, said.
Business Access TV is Jamaica’s first cable channel dedicated to promoting business and entrepreneurship by presenting new business ideas to prospective partners, investors and financiers.
YEA is a non-profit volunteer organisation that supports young people in business, giving them the opportunity to learn from others, and providing mentorship to grow their businesses.
Under the MOU, YEA members will get special advertising rates as well as features and articles on BATV and in Wealth Magazine. Advertising support will also be provided for YEA’s signature event, National Entrepreneurship Week, for which BATV has also signed a three-year exclusive sponsorship agreement.
“Partnership is an essential element for the YEA to remain sustainable,” said YEA’s president, Erica Wynter. “With that said, we made partnership a part of our mandate. The partnership between BATV will have an incredible impact on the business success of our members.”
National Entrepreneurship Week will be observed from November 8 – 14 under the theme: Jamaica…The Place to do Business.
