WEATHER UPDATE: Isolated morning showers over eastern parishes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says at 5:00 am Saturday, forecast shows a weak high pressure ridge over the eastern and central Caribbean.
It said the ridge is expected to stay over the eastern and central Caribbean through to Monday.
As a result, isolated showers are expected over eastern parishes in the morning, while scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across inland areas and north-western parishes this afternoon. Windy conditions are expected over the south-east coast.
The Met Service said tonight should be fair.
In the meantime there is a tropical wave in the open Atlantic, while a stationary front lingers over the central Gulf of Mexico.
