CASH prizes of over $6 million will be up for grabs at this weekend’s second staging of the Couples Swept Away Clay Court Tennis Championships in Negril.

The three-day event will start Saturday and run through Monday when the finals of the four categories will be played.

There will be the Men’s Open, Ladies’ Open, Men’s 35 Professional and Men’s 35 amateurs.

The winner of the Men’s Open will get $150,000, the runner-up gets $75,000, while the losing semi-finalists will take home $37,500 each.

Losers in the quarterfinal round will get $18,750, while those who lose in the round of 16 will get $9,375 each.

The Ladies’ Open winner will pocket $60,000 with the runner-up pocketing half of that amount; losing semi-finalists will get $15,000 each, and quarterfinalists will each get $7,500.

In the Men’s Pro category, the winner will receive $75,000; the runner-up $37,500; losing semi-finalists $18,750; quarterfinalists $9375 and those in the round of 16 will get $4,687.

Entries will close this afternoon at 5:00pm with an entry fee of US$25 per person, per event.
