Dominic James – St George’s College
1) What team did you play against in your first Manning Cup match?
My first Manning Cup match was against St Jago High.
2) Who is your international football idol?
I have many, but my main idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. He is an excellent
player with great flair and one of the best that the world has ever
seen.
3) How do you rate your school’s chances in this year’s competition?
I think we have a very good chance; unfortunately, we had a few bad
results along the way so far. But we intend to bounce back like we
always do and go all the way this year.
4) Which school do you fear most and why?
I don’t fear any school, because we have a great coach and a very
well-rounded team. We have won the title on many occasions and once we
remain consistent we are virtually unstoppable.
5) How important is it for a student/athlete to have a solid education?
It is very important because it will help you in life as well as on
the field and if you suffer a career-ending injury then you will
always have other options.
6) What are your educational achievements to date?
My educational achievements so far are eight CSEC passes and 4 CAPE passes.
7) What is your ultimate life ambition?
My ultimate life ambition is to be successful in whatever aspect of
life I am involved in whether it be football, academically or family
life and so on.
8) Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
My mother Denese James and father David James, who always encourage me
to do my best in everything I do.
