STETHS overcome Munro College 3-2 in parish derby
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) defeated long-time rivals Munro College 3-2 on Saturday to strengthen their chances of reaching the next round of the ISSA/Flow daCosta Cup.
STETHS were beating Munro for the second time this season following a 1-0 win at Alpart Sports Club, two weeks ago.
Michael Kerr scored twice for STETHS on Saturday, in the 9th and 35th minute while Romeo Wright netted in the 33rd minute.
For Munro, Carlos Polomares, a Californian of Mexican extraction scored both goals in the 23rd and 48th minutes.
STETHS are now on 15 points in second place behind Lacovia High on 16, Munro are third on 13 points with BB Coke High fourth on 11 points and Maggotty High on nine points.
