Seprod celebrates World Milk Day
Seprod recently celebrated World School Milk Day (WSMD_ with the kids of Queen’s Preparatory. They celebrated it as a fun and engaging way to teach students about the importance of drinking milk as part of a healthy, balanced diet. Milk is a soource of vitamins and minerals that kids needs to stay healthy, alert and ready to learn.
WSMD is an opportunity for students to celebrate their school’s milk programme in a variety of fun ways. Seprod is supporting that with an awareness programme to engage the Jamaican children in ‘3-A-Day’ consumption of milk.
This year the main celebration was hosted at Queen’s Preparatory School, during their devotion period with Serge Island ambassador and Jamaica Olympian Mr. Warren Weir presenting gifts and school supplies to the school. Dr Grace McLean from the Ministry of Education was also present.
Melanie Subratie, director of Seprod, told us that this was just part of Seprod’s greater corporate citizenship, and even teased a big announcement before the upcoming Christmas period.
