What the iPad Pro means for Jamaican teens
The iPad Pro was launched this morning as “the biggest news in iPad since iPad”.
These are the specs:
It has a 12.9-inch screen. It’s the same height as the largest iPad (the Air 2) but seems to be a two-handed handling sort of device. It does seem a tad big. It boast an amazing 5.6 million pixels, and is apparently faster than 80% of portable PCs shipped last year.
10-hour battery life means it can last through the schoolday, perfect for university students. The four-speaker audio system automatically adjusts for how you hold the iPad. So, basically it is expected to have the performance of a desktop.
Steve Jobs once said “nobody wants a stylus.” But this edition of the iPad comes with an Apple Pencil. Hmm.
Here are six things the iPad Pro means for Jamaican teens.
1) Many of us just decided on a Christmas wish. So we have to be on our best behaviour until Christmas… be nice to Aunty a ‘farrin’ and so on.
2) More “shut up, and take my money” memes.
3) More arguments with our friends who are Windows fans. Prepare for Windows fans hating on everything iPad and clinging to the Surface Pro (which really has been blown out the water).
4) Mommy or Daddy saying ‘no’ to our Christmas list. Prepare for the “yuh gimme iPad money?” tweets. But guys, it costs like $800 USD, so maybe next Christmas, when Apple has probably already launched the iPad Pro 5?
5) Apple has moved on from Steve Jobs. (sad face). Maybe this is only a techie thing, but it’s something we should notice.
6) Better selfie quality for those lucky ones who actually get it. Oh the IG excitement…
