#BEIJING2015: Parchment, McLeod advance to Men’s 110mH finals
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two of Jamaica’s three semi-finalists in the Men’s 110m Hurdles at the IAAF World Championships under way in Beijing have advanced to the finals of the event.
Olympic bronze medalist Hansle Parchment and Omar McLeod finished second in their heats to automatically book their spots, Andrew Riley did not make the cut after coming in fifth in his heat.
Parchment clocked 13.16 seconds in heat one behind Russia’s Sergey Shubenkov who finished in 13.09s. In the second heat, McLeod qualified in a time of 13.14s behind American Aries Merritt who clocked13.08s.
Meanwhile, Dimitri Bascou of France topped the final heat in a time of 13.16, while America’s David Oliver was second in 13.17s. Jamaica’s Andrew Riley ran a time of 13.43s in this heat.
French men Garfield Darien from heat one and Pascal Martinot-Lagardewere from heat two were the two fastest losers in 13.25s and 13.17s respectively.
