#BEIJING2015: Bolt jogs 20.28s to advance to 200m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Usain Bolt and the defending 200m champion jogged his way into the semi-finals of the 200 metres, clocking 20.28 seconds, at the IAAF World Championships now under way in Beijing, China.
Obviously with a point to prove after being beaten into second in the 100 metres, American Justin Gatlin clocked 20.19s to win his heat ahead of Jamaica’s Nickel Asmeade who finished third in a time of 20.40s.
Julian Forte competed in the fifth heat, clocking 20.16 seconds to finish second behind Britain’s Zharnel Hughes (20.13s).
While Warren Weir, the fourth Jamaican gunning for a spot in the final line-up, also finished second in a time of 20.24s behind Likourgos-Stefanos Tsakonas, who won the sixth heat in 20.14 seconds.
