#BEIJING2015: Nickel Ashmeade through to 100m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nickel Ashmeade clocked 10.19 seconds in heat two of the 100 metres to finish second behind American Tyson Gay at the IAAF World Championships now under way in Beijing, China.
Gay finished in an unimpressive 10.11 seconds when compared to Asafa Powell’s 9.95-second heat one run. However, Gay did experience a -1.4m/s wind in his race.
Third place went to Christophe Lemaitre of France. He finished in a time of 10.24 seconds.
