#BEIJING2015: Fraser-Pryce cruises into 100m semis with 10.88 win
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked 10.88 seconds a short while ago to comfortably win heat four of the women’s 100 metres to advance to the semi-finals at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.
Her compatriots Veronica Campbell Brown, Sherone Simpson and Natasha Morrison also automatically qualified for the semi-finals from their heats.
Campbell Brown finished second in a time of 11.04 seconds behind American Tori Bowie (10.88 seconds) in the first heat, while Morrison also finished second in a time of 11.08 seconds behind Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare who finished in 11.07 seconds.
Running out of lane three in heat six, Simpson finished third in 11.22 seconds.
