#BEIJING2015: Slack finishes 8th in Heptathlon 100mH
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Salcia Slack finished down the track in eighth position in heat two of the women’s 100m hurdles a short while ago.
It was the opening event of the Heptathlon at the 15th IAAF World Championships now under way in Beijing, China.
Running from lane four, the 25-year-old, who has a personal best of 13.68 seconds, ran to a time of 13.98 seconds after stumbling over her first few hurdles.
Poland’s Karolina Tyminska was first in a time of 13.52, while New Zealand’s Portia Bing finished second in a time of 13.59. Germany’s Jennifer Oeser was third in a time of 13.67.
Slack will next compete in the High Jump event.
