A floury birthday for Bolt in China
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Despite being halfway around the world in China, the world’s fastest man Usain Bolt did not escape the traditional Jamaican birthday greeting when he was today dusted with flour in recognition of his birthday.
Bolt, who turned 29 today, tweeted a photo of himself covered in flour a few hours ago, accompanied by the text:
“Ni Hao from Beijing-China on my Birthday”.
He proceeded to ask: “Can u believe the youth them flour me? Only Jamaicans #GiveThanks #Blesssed”
The powerful Jamaican returns to the Bird’s Nest — the place where he broke three world records while winning three gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games — to defend his World Championship titles.
At that time, “Happy Birthday” was played inside the stadium as he took to the track.
