Arnett Gardens Rockers march into Worldnet Basketball finals
ARNETT Gardens Rockers swept into the Worldnet Community Basketball League final from the Southern Basketball League, Eastern Division with an 86-76 Game-Two victory over Exed Heats to clinch the best-of-three finals 2-0 at the Upper Room Community Church Courts, Grants Pen, recently.
The clean sweep victory over Exed Heats also handed Arnett Gardens Rockers the Eastern Divisional Championship.
Meanwhile, in the feature game between Upper Room Church and Majesty Gardens, Upper Room Church, playing with panache at home, ripped through Majesty Gardens with a 71-55 victory to level the series at 1-1 in Game Two of the Western Divisional final.
Jermaine Brown with 25 points and Keneil Allen with 16 points and eight rebounds led the way for Upper Room Church, while Havanda Dunn contributed 14 points with six rebounds, and Maurice Blackwood added 12 points and 19 rebounds for Majesty Gardens.
In the opening game, Kwayme Lawrence sank 26 points with eight rebounds for an Arnett Gardens Rockers victory. Delano Mallett and Vivian Spence also contributed 13 points each. Omar Barnes with 26 points with eight rebounds and Rohan Robinson with 19 points, registered for the Exed Heats.
The game to decide which of the teams between Upper Room Church and Majesty Gardens will now face Arnett Gardens Rockers in the Worldnet Community Basketball final was scheduled for the Majesty Gardens Courts last night.
