Mandela Highway crash
Police at the scene of a head-on collsion between a motor truck and a Toyota Hiace minibus, which occured on Mandela Highway in St Catherine early Sunday morning.
The truck driver and the driver minibus were injured in the collision.
Both men, including the minibus driver who suffered a broken foot, were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where they were treated and released.
Corporal Ronald Davis from the Central Village Police Station told the Jamaica Observer that the crash occurred about 5:15 am in the vicinity of the entrance to the Toll Road.
According Davis, the motor truck was heading westerly along the Mandela Highway and the mini bus in an easterly direction when it ended up on the opposite side of the road resulting in the collision.
