Rash-On Fashion
As the summer slowly but surely gets into gear, the heat is growing more and more unbearable. It has gotten even worse since there are now newly implemented water restrictions. For all of us who do not have beaches in our backyards, how we dress to beat the heat is crucial. Below are some clothing that can be worn to keep you looking both cute and cool. Here is your weekly dose of Rash-on Fashion:
– Crop tops are a summer essential, this is because they have less fabric than those that would make you hot and bothered. Ditch the thick polyester materials and pick up a few crop tops, both cotton and lace work well in defeating the heat. Remember to keep it classy, don’t make it a habit of wearing crop tops and shorts – that’s overdoing it. Keep it elegant with a maxi skirt, those are surprisingly cool as well.
– If you are one who loves mini shorts like I do, then this tip is definitely for you. Swap out your knit and jeans shorts for those made of cotton and lace. These allow air to pass through more easily, keeping you cool and trendy at the same time.
– As surprising as it may sound, wearing maxi dresses in the summer does help to battle the heat. They are in fact much better than jeans. These dresses are mostly made from materials fit for the tropics and are very cool and comfortable. Plus they also make you look classy.
– The popular new trend of shift dresses are also good at keeping you cool in the tropics. The cotton material these items are generally made from help greatly with that. They also wont stick to your body and show sweat stains like other designs.
– Finally, it is best to invest in some hats this summer and wear them everywhere you go. Yes, be that girl, the hat girl. You would certainly be keeping it trendy. Stay away from beanies as those will only make you hotter, straw fedoras are definitely the way to go.
Although the heat is on us, there are definitely ways to beat it; dressing right is one, and don’t forget your sunscreen… and gallon of water!
