Prep School Champs runs off today
THE 38th staging of the Jamaica Interdependent Schools Association (JISA)/Seprod National Track and Field Preparatory Schools Championships is scheduled to get underway today at the National Stadium.
Organisers said that there will be an admission cost of $500 for adults and $200 for students.
Roger Thompson, marketing manager at title sponsor Seprod, said that children have a chance to enter the Stadium free of cost as well as win prizes for their schools.
“For the Championships, children can bring 10 Butterkist wrappers or five Monster Milk cartons and redeem for a free ticket on all three days. In addition to that, the school with the most students with the most redemptions will get a chance to win $100,000,” he explained.
The top five schools at the end of the championships will receive a total of $250,000 ($50,000 each).
Defending Boys’ and Girls’ champions Hydel Prep will be sure to get strong competition from Lannaman’s Prep, St Joseph Prep, Our Lady of the Angels Prep, Wolmer’s Prep, Glenmuir Prep, among others.
