SkunkLIFE lives up to billing
Buoyed by the success of the inaugural Club SkunkLIFE party series at Suzie’s Bakery and Coffee Bar in St Andrew last month, organisers are in high gear for the next staging.
Club SkunkLIFE: 2nd Gear Pull is scheduled for April 25.
According Skunk Nation, event organisers, the feedback has been positive.
“The party was great. We are very happy with the overall turnout and for our first staging; we can’t complain,” Eddie Bond, Skunk Nation co-founder, told Auto.
The event managed to pull close to 450 patrons despite several other major events happening during the same time period. Alongside the music from resident DJ Donny and guest ZJ Nova, there were in total 30 cars, including a special surprise debut from drag racer Dean Shaw. Shaw chose Club SkunkLIFE to show off his recently restored classic Chevy truck. Between the two featured car clubs, ATA Crew and Street Talent Racing, there were 11 cars but the party drew upwards of 30 cars that swapped in and out as individual owners appeared through the night to show off their own vehicles. This kept things fresh and visually exciting.
“The follow up will be dubbed Club SkunkLIFE: 2nd gear pull. This edition will feature guest selectors Cash Flow Rinse & Spugy. We are awaiting confirmation from the two teams that will feature their rides,” said Skunk Nation’s Nick Lue.
