Marl Road thrash Salt Spring 4-0
BICKERSTETH, St James — Marl Road FC beat Salt Spring United 4-0 at Bickersteth on Friday to move into fourth place in the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League.
Owen Hacker scored a hat-trick for Marl Road as they improved to 14 points, the same as Reggae Youths, two points behind leaders Melbourne FC on 16 points and one point behind second-placed Lilliput Rovers on 15 points.
Also on Friday, Montego Bay United Under-21 edged Heights FC 1-0, while Fogo United and Little Miami drew 1-1.
At Bickersteth, Hacker got a first half triple, scoring in the third, 18th and 41st minutes, while Lenor Willie added one in the 60th minute, as Marl Road cruised to their fourth win of the season.
At the UDC field, Alrick Ottey scored his first goal of the season for Montego Bay United Under-21 as they edged Heights FC 1-0 and continued to move away from the relegation zone and into seventh place.
At Flanker, the home team, Fogo United went ahead in the 33rd minute through Amrick McFarlane, but Almondo Kelly earned a point for Little Miami, scoring in the 76th minute.
