Sandals Negril Management Trainee, Barbadian Kent D’Hayle, addressed students of Rhodes Hall High school in Orange Bay, Hanover at a career development session recently. The session was aimed at creating awareness about career opportunities across CARICOM countries and sought to encourage students to start taking the necessary steps to pursue further studies after leaving high school and start a rewarding career.
In addition to highlighting opportunities for movement within CARICOM countries, the sensitisation also explored various careers within the Sandals group.
At the end of the session, there was a competition in which students were asked to do a brief presentation of what they learned, which also helped to boost their self-confidence.
The initiative was organised by D’Hayle in collaboration with the Sandals Foundation, as part of the Sandals Management Trainee programme, in which each management trainee is required to lead a community impact project.
