Support grows for St Catherine High health fair
OFFICIALS from St Catherine High say they have this year seen a significant increase in the number of organisations that participated in the school’s ‘Annual Proactive Lifestyle Health Fair’.
The fourth staging of the event was held on the grounds of the school on Friday.
“Last year, close to 30 organisations from in and around the town participated in the event, that number has increased this year to 50 ,” said Jermaine Johnson, a teacher and one of the coordinators of the event.
Johnson explained that the aim of the health fair was to foster a greater level of partnership and a stronger relationship between organisations and Spanish Town residents.
The teacher said that people from the church community, Jamaica Urban Transit Company, and several NGOs volunteered to offer their services free to the public at the event.
