Happy protection
Members of the Ashe Performing Arts Company pose with Elizabeth Phillips (fourth left), the country programme manager of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) in Jamaica, after a flash mob performance on International Condom Day (ICD). The AHF hosted ICD at the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre on February 13, under the themes ‘Condoms are Cool’ and ‘Love is Best Protection’, to highlight the proper use of condoms in the prevention of HIV, other sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies. The Ashe group performed to a parody of Pharrell’s Happy with lyrics that encouraged safe sex practices.
