All set for Blue Mountain Music fest
ALL is set for the second staging of the Blue Mountain Music Festival at the Hollywell Recreational Park in St Andrew, today and tomorrow.
According to the organisers, dancehall quartet TOK, apart from the usual pre-show challenges, all is shaping up nicely for the event.
“What we are really happy about is the anticipation and buzz we are getting from the streets. People are really looking forward to a great festival,” Craig ‘Craigy T’ Thompson told the Jamaica Observer.
He said following on last year’s inaugural staging, a number of changes have been made to the event to make it more comfortable for patrons.
“We have moved the stage to the lowest level of the park. This opens up the venue into an amphitheatre. We have eliminated the VIP area… So everyone is a VIP this year and have some great lounge areas,” said Thompson.
The line-up for the festival includes Tarrus Riley, Freddie McGregor, Mystic Reveallers, Ryan Mark, Kreesha Turner and TOK.
Thompson is imploring patrons to dress warm to cope with the elements.
“It is very nippy, so like we say in our tagline… Dress warm for Jamaica’s coolest festival.”
