VIDEO: Skyy’s the limit for erotic ‘Shades of Grey’
WITH an orgasmic US$94.4 million debut over the four-day American holiday period, the Skyy Vodka-sponsored premiere of Fifty Shades of Grey brought the females out in great numbers at the Carib Cinema in St Andrew, on Valentine’s Day.
There was barely any space for movement inside the hallways as they eagerly awaited the erotic romance while sipping on Skyy Vodka specials.
Cecil Smith, marketing manager for Skyy Vodka — white spirits, said Skyy Vodka and Fifty Shades of Grey were the perfect combination.
“The movie appeals to females and showcases a mixture in romance… so it is with Skyy Vodka, as it sets the mood for romance. We are extremely happy to be on board, and based on the feedback that we have received both the movie and the drink mixes lived up to expectations,” he said.
On days leading up to the highly anticipated premiere consumers were given a chance to win movie tickets and risqué gift items such as handcuffs upon the purchase of Skyy Vodka at selected outlets.
Fifty Shades of Grey is an adaptation of British author EL James’ 2011 novel of the same name. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the movie sees literature student Anastasia Steele embarking on a life-changing sojourn when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey.
When the couple embarks on a daring, and passionately physical affair, Steele discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
