Pepperpot – Deposed kingmaker resumes dirty tricks
The deposed kingmaker is at it again with the dirty tricks. This time he has revived one of his mudslinging projects aimed at sullying the reputation of the one who is most responsible for his loss of prestige and standing. Word is that it is backfiring on him and the egg will be all over his face.
Ganja gimmickry
It would be laughable if it were not so insipid. It’s time the US picks the mote out of its own eye where it concerns ganja. If the newspaper is to be believed, Mr William Brownfield who has the lofty title of assistant secretary of the Bureau of International Narcotics says the US is uncomfortable about Jamaica decriminalising ganja. Shouldn’t he be first uncomfortable with the four American states that have legalised ganja, which is going further than Jamaica? One of my girls looks at the bright side. She says Mr Brownfield was honest enough to signal that it is really the competition with the good Sensimilia that the US is concerned about!
Good for you, Mr Lloyd Bogle
The people at the Observer should pat themselves on the back for that very interesting series of stories on Mr Lloyd Bogle from England, the man who was stranded here after 50-odd years living in Britain. We found ourselves cheering when it was reported that he got a British visa. Bravo to the British High Commission as well.
Farewell, Ralston Smith
Two of my girls insist I must express their condolences to the family of the late Mr Ralston Smith, with whom they worked and learnt the craft of public relations. They found him a master of his craft and a splendid man to work with. Bon voyage, Mr Smith.
Not too cool ad
The ad showing a very sexy sister whose car broke down on the road, walking through a deserted place to find water after another sister prevented her man from giving her a lift is not so cool, the message about us girls, that is.
Question of the week
What is the real cause of the spike in murders right after the welcome drop?
