A 50-year Tradition Continues…
Our Second City contributor Aceion Cunningham takes us into the homes of two of the parish’s prominent citizens where goodwill and excellent fare were shared in abundance.
FIRST STOP: the Brownie Residence where the very charming Isiaa Madden-Brownie and her business magnate husband Chescott opened their home inside the Lagoon development in Montego Bay to family and associates on Christmas Day.
The well-appointed home, recently renovated by Madden- Brownie, whose architectural skills are highly sought-after by local and foreign investors alike, formed the backdrop to a most sumptuous and heart-warming Christmas dinner.
Guests dined ‘beachside’ on the lagoon complete with sand under umbrella-covered tables and enjoyed the musical styling of Madden-Brownie’s brother Ruel and uncle Richard who took turns at selecting.
Madden-Brownie, a fourth-generation member of the prominent Madden family, joined her brother Ruel and his wife Rosie to continue an over 50-year tradition of making Christmas dinner a major family affair, and by all indications the family tradition is in sound hands. Thursday Life steps on the welcome mat.
