Tydal’s on a mission
AFTER a favourable response to his EP The Journey of a Warrior earlier this year, singjay Tydal has released his album Mission Incomplete.
The 19-track set, produced by Master One Production, was released digitally on November 4, and is distributed by VP Records/VPAL.
Europe-based entertainment reggae site Reggaeville had high praises for the set.
“The album’s overarching tone reflects a carefully selected showcase designed to impress the listener with the phenomenal skills of the artiste as well as illustrating the diverse applications of his craft. It’s hard to listen to Mission Incomplete and not get the feeling that Tydal is on a mission to make a lasting impression with this record, not just on the reggae community, but on a broader musical landscape as well, as there are several tracks on the album that indicate Tydal may be attempting to impact other markets,” the site reported.
The producers credited on
the album include Vikings Production, Sweat Boxx Productions, House of Riddims, Train Line Records, Penthouse Productions, Master One Productions, JA Productions and Dalton Leith Music.
Tydal, 32, grew up in St Mary and found comfort in listening to the radio. He was influenced by Buju Banton.
In 2013, he recorded his first single Ghetto Youths Cry. He has since recorded Smile, Ballground and Give It To Me (featuring Gyptian).
