Kisha Anderson now heads JMMB subsidiaries in Jamaica
JAMAICA Money Market Brokers (JMMB) Group has appointed Kisha Anderson as country head of its subsidiaries in Jamaica.
The group made the announcement Monday, saying it was in keeping with its move to reorganise its organisational structure .
The reorganisation is being implemented as the “company continues to take steps to attain regulatory approval to transfer ownership of the subsidiaries across the region and JMMB Ltd to the holding company, JMMB Group Limited”.
According to JMMB, Anderson, whose appointment took effect on November 1, will now drive the strategy for Jamaica, supported by the heads of the various subsidiaries, who will report directly to her, with the exception of the general manager for capital and Credit Remittance Ltd (Reggae Money Express).
“I am humbled and honoured by the opportunity to lead the JMMB team in Jamaica, and it is great to be part of a company in which my hard work has afforded me the chance to grow, both professionally and personally,” Anderson was quoted in a news release from JMMB.
“Exciting times are ahead for the JMMB Group and I am confident that with the full support and partnership of team the best is yet to come for all our stakeholders,” she added.
The subsidiaries under her direction are Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) Ltd, JMMB Merchant Bank Ltd, JMMB Insurance Brokers Ltd, JMMB Fund Managers Ltd, and JMMB Securities Ltd.
Her tenure at JMMB Ltd began 19 years ago, as a part-time client relations officer, and over the years she has excelled in many capacities throughout the business, including operations, strategy, and client service delivery, with her most recent responsibility being the leadership of the retail, corporate and broker units within JMMB Ltd.
Anderson currently sits as a director on the boards of JMMB Insurance Brokers Ltd, JMMB Fund Managers Ltd, JMMB Securities Ltd, and Capital and Credit Remittance Ltd.
The company said that Anderson has built an in-depth understanding of the financial sector, through her extensive experience as part of the JMMB team and knowledge gained through her participation in a range of professional development courses, including project management, retail banking, people management and securities.
She entered the field with a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of the West Indies, Mona.
“With this new appointment, Kisha will report directly to Keith Duncan, JMMB’s group chief executive officer,” the company said.
Anderson previously held the position of head, investment services at JMMB Ltd. That position will now be taken over by Keisha Forbes, head, trading and treasury, who had a similar appointment date.
“We are pleased with these appointments, and I look forward to working in partnership with our newly appointed leaders as we all strive to execute our strategy and continue to serve our clients with utmost care grounded in our vision of love,” the release quoted Duncan.
