NHF adds hypertension, ischaemic heart disease drugs
New active pharmaceutical ingredients have been added to the National Health Fund (NHF) drug list for those people covered on its Individual Benefits Programme for hypertension and ischaemic heart disease.
Concur AM Tablets, a combination of Bisoprolol and Amlodipine, are available in 5mg and 10mg, with a subsidy of $68.27 and $127.72 per tablet, respectively, for the treatment of hypertension and ischaemic heart disease.
Also added to the list for the treatment of hypertension is Aprovasc Tablets, a combination of Irbesartan and Amlodipine. The NHF said in a release Friday that it is offering a subsidy of $60.34 for a 150mg tablet, $111.83 and $120.68 for the 300mg tablet.
These additions bring the total active ingredients on the NHF Programme to 249.
