Hairdresser in ‘acid’ attack on man gets bail extended
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A hairdresser accused of attacking a man with a corrosive substance believed to be acid, had her bail extended when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court Wednesday.
Angella Williams, a 39-year-old resident of Cassava Piece Road in St Andrew is to return to the court on January 9.
The court will then be updated on the status of an outstanding medical report.
Both Williams and the complainant were reportedly involved in a dispute on October 28 this year, when it is alleged that Williams threw a corrosive substance on the complainant, causing injuries to his left arm and abdomen area.
The complainant appeared in court with visible burnt marks on his left arm.
However, Williams is denying the allegation.
