DIY Style Guide
“I have so much clothes, but I just don’t know how to wear them.”
“I am tired of getting it wrong when it comes on to piecing outfits.”
“What’s the purpose of me having a closet filled with clothes when I don’t know how to wear them and what to wear them with.”
Sounds familiar? Well, these are all complaints I have heard from either a friend, a friend of a friend and even a family member.
After all, being fashionably is not always about imitating your favourite stars on TV or a model in a magazine — and it is certainly not about spending money buying the latest designer wear or trend in clothing and accessory at the time.
Instead, try to use what you have and give yourself a creative edge. Whether it is a old or new piece of clothing, you can still make it work by simply putting a new lease of life on it.
Notwithstanding, even if you don’t have much, don’t be afraid to re-use it. Yes!

If it is mixing colors, cutting your old worn out jeans and turning it into a trendy shorts; cutting off the sleeves of a old button up and turning it into short sleeves; or adding a few sequins to your skirt, you can do it.
However, in all honesty, teenAGE recognises that there are still those who still those who will need some DIY guidance.
So, here is a layout of some ways to pairing, piecing, mixing and re-wearing whats in your closet and drawer to make you a fashion hit.
