Bigga Balla with brain – KEMO LLOYD Camperdown High School
When did you start playing football?
I started playing football in 2012.
What team did you play against in your first Manning Cup match?
My first Manning Cup match was against Charlie Smith High.
Who is your international football idol?
My idol is Wayne Rooney. I think he is an excellent player.
How do you rate your school’s chances in this year’s competition?
Camperdown is a complete team and I believe we will win all four titles this year.
Which school do you fear most and why?
I really don’t fear any team but I think St George’s College is the team to look out for. They defeated us in two encounters last year, and again this year in the Walker Cup quarter-finals.
How important is it for a student/athlete to have a solid education?
Education is a means of upward mobility and as student athletes it is very important for us not to use sports as the only way out because one injury can end your career. When you have a solid education, however, you will have options.
What are your educational achievements to date?
Well, so far I have 12 CXC subjects and three CAPE units.
What is your ultimate life ambition?
My ambition in life is to be a lawyer.
Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
The person with the biggest impact on my life is my law teacher at Camperdown High. Whenever I miss notes from class he would tell me that I should never put a limit on my ability. I look at his achievements and I am inspired to do well, even when I get home late in the night, I would do my homework or I can’t sleep.
