Pride at stake! – MBU meet Sporting Central in RSPL
TUCKER, St James — FOR the second straight home game, defending Red Stripe Premier League champions Montego Bay United (MBU) will have to restore some pride after an away loss.
On Sunday, MBU will host Sporting Central Academy after losing 1-0 to Cavalier at Stadium East field in Kingston last Sunday and slipped to mid-tables on four points form four matches.
Two Sundays ago, MBU beat up on a decimated Boys’ Town team
4-0, and will hope to continue their unbeaten home streak this season.
MBU should also have history on their side after beating Sporting Central twice last season, both at Wespow, and drawing the game played in Clarendon.
Meanwhile, Reno FC will be on the road at Tivoli Gardens after last week’s game against Arnett Gardens was postponed as a number of the players on the Kingston team were suffering from symptoms similar to the viral disease chikungunya.
Reno FC are in fourth place on five points from three games played.
