Hydel demolish Penwood 7-1 in Manning Cup
HYDEL High were in a no-nonsense mood when they whipped Penwood High 7-1 in their Group F encounter in the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup at the Cling Cling Oval yesterday.
Goals from Brad Tully (fifth and 47th), Jonthe Brown (35th and 38th), Nigel Simms (own goal 39th), Nicholas Nelson (46th) and Tray McKay (60th minute) made sure that Hydel extend their unbeaten run in the competition so far, while Damone Brown got the lone goal for Penwood in the 71st minute.
With the win, Hydel remain atop the group with 20 points from eight games, while Penwood are still rooted at the bottom of the table without a point. Calabar High moved into second place on 16 points following their 4-0 victory against St Catherine (10 points), while St
