Clarendon College hunt win number five
CHAPLETON, Clarendon — Former champions Clarendon College will this afternoon hope to join Cedric Titus High as the second ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup team to win their first five games, when they take on Claude McKay in a Zone H rescheduled first-round game at Clarendon College.
The Jackie Walters-coached Clarendon College made it four in a row on Saturday when they blanked Thompson Town 4-0 in a return-round game at Thompson Town.
They lead Zone H with 12 points from four wins, two more than Edwin Allen who have played five games with Lennon High well back in third place on five points.
Two more games are also scheduled for today as Mile Gully and DeCarteret College meet in a Zone F rescheduled game, while Marcus Garvey host Browns Town in a Zone I game at Drax Hall.
Mile Gully are in second place in Zone F behind Manchester High with six points and a win over third-placed DeCarteret would move them closer to the leaders.
DeCarteret College scored their first win of the season on Saturday, a 3-0 result over Belair High at home.
At Drax Hall, Marcus Garvey will hope to join Cedric Titus on 15 points when they take on last placed Browns Town.
Marcus Garvey have won two games since their loss to Cedric Titus on September 13 and are seeking to win the zone for the second straight year.
