Waterlogged field prevents play between C’Down, Papine
Yesterday’s lone ISSA/LIME Manning Cup game between hosts Papine High and Group D leaders Camperdown High was not played due to a waterlogged field, but the competition is scheduled to continue today with matches across three groups.
In Group B, leaders Charlie Smith High, who are perfect with nine points from three matches, visit third-placed Vauxhall High (four points), while strugglers Mona High and Cumberland High, both locked on a point each, meet at the former’s school field.
In Group C, top team Denham Town High (10 points) welcome second-placed Innswood High (nine points) to the Edward Seaga Sports Complex, while third-placed St Mary’s College (six points) host cellar team Edith Dalton James High (zero point). In the other Group C encounter, fourth-placed Ardenne High (six points) entertain fifth-placed Tivoli Gardens High (four) on Ardenne Road.
Hydel High, on 12 points from their four outings, welcome parish neighbours St Catherine High (fourth place on five points) to the Caymanas playing field.
Second-placed Calabar High, trailing Hydel by five points, travel to face fifth-placed Eltham High (four points), while third-placed St Jago High (six points) host last-placed Penwood High (zero point) at their Monk Street base in Spanish Town.
