Butler hat-trick spurs Ewarton past McGrath
LINSTEAD, St Catherine — Sanjay Bulter scored a hat-trick as Ewarton High beat McGrath High 5-1 at McGrath to take over the lead in Zone K of the ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition yesterday.
Ewarton High, who just missed qualification for the Inter-zone round last season, join Dinthill Technical on nine points, but lead on the second tie-breaker of more goals as they are also tied on a goal difference of nine.
Early pacesetters Charlemont High dropped two more points as they were held goalless by Bog Walk and are two points behind the leaders.
Charlemont High had won their first two games, but have since earned just one point from their last two games.
Meanwhile, Butler was scoring in this third straight game, while Sheldon Neil scored the other two goals for Ewarton High to score their third straight win after losing their opening game to Dinthill Technical by a 1-0 margin.
