Holy Trinity clip Trench Town 1-0
Holy Trinity High continue to dominate Trench Town High in the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup competition after three seasons by winning 1-0 in this year’s opening Group E game at the Anthony Spaulding Sport Complex yesterday.
Brandon Brown came on as a second-half substitute in the 81st minute to score in the 85th giving Holy Trinity their second win of the season from as many games.
Holy Trinity earlier defeated Spanish Town by a similar margin to win their opening game.
It was a poorly contested game with both teams missing several easy scoring chances, especially home team Trench Town in the second half. And when the winner came five minutes from time it was against the run of play.
This was the third season that the two teams were meeting in the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup competition and it was the fourth consecutive victory for the South Camp Road school after drawing their first game.
